From the moment of conception, a child’s life is a whirlwind of change and development and these can sometimes be challenging.  Craniosacral therapy is ideal for babies and children since the touch is extremely gentle and treatment is carried out fully clothed.

Babies generally respond very well to craniosacral treatment and as such often require less treatments than adults.

Interventions during pregnancy, the birth process and interventions for mother and baby may contribute to physical & emotional stress. Babies are more robust than we may think and they have the ability to heal and self regulate. Sometimes however they need additional support and this is where Craniosacral therapy can help. If you are concerned about your baby you should seek medical advice. Craniosacral therapy is designed to be used alongside other treatments you may choose, not replace them.

Children just like adults can struggle with stress. Perhaps with the rise in social media, they may struggle more growing up than we did. Starting school, changing schools, new siblings, parental separation, family issues, peer pressure, exams can all have a negative impact. Too much stress or too much in a short space of time can overwhelm a child impacting on their ability to cope. Due to its gentleness, Craniosacral therapy is a comfortable, relaxing and pleasant form of treatment.

Babies may be treated on a couch, whilst feeding or being held by a parent. Younger children can be treated whilst playing with toys and older children may enjoy lying or sitting on a couch.

**Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
